Happy New Year

We haven't been out on New Years Eve since Georgia was born. We have spent every single one with her since 2008 :-) She is our little good luck charm. Last year we rang in the New Year in Mexico and this year we decided to ring in 2012 with our close friends and their kiddos and babies. At the last minute we had a "kid friendly" party and it was so much fun even more fun than I expected! I never thought I would hear myself say hanging out with 3 and 4 year olds and babies was a good time but oh it is! It was heart warming. It was perfect. It was almost magical and I swear I wouldn't have rather been anywhere else in the whole wide world...(well maybe the Eifel Tower). They played and laughed and loved on eachother and watching them was the highlight of my whole night. They all got their jammies on and piled in the trampoline and were having a "bunkin party" then they got cold or bored, Im not sure which and piled up in Georgie's room for a movie-thon with popcorn. At midnight they were still going strong and they toasted the New Year with 7- Up and Grape Juice lol. Little dare devils ;-) I love my framily. I appreciate them and all they do for me. I could not do this life without them. They are the bestest. Thank yall for being so awesome. Thank yall for having babies for me to love(bc yall know I don't like other peoples kids) lol. We have to do it again next year! Mwah!

On New Year's Eve we were supposed to have Christmas with my Dad, his wife and Taylor and Cody. Since Vickie wasn't feeling well, Taylor went ahead and came and joined us and we hung out and exchanged gifts. Georgia was so glad to see her and so was I.

Santa Claus Is Coming To Town

The thing about getting everything you want before Santa comes is by the time he gets here you are kind of over it :-( In fairness to her she literally opened upwards of 50 presents in the week leading up to Christmas between her bday and Christmas celebrations. Santa was very good to her and he hooked a girl up! I had to finally wake her at 8:30 and she was kind of dragging. She has a very thankful heart and I don't mean to sound at all like she wasn't appreciative because she was. Very. I think she just got overwhelmed at the home stretch :-) These are seriously the best pics I got of Santa Gate 2011. Oh well. Better luck next year :-)

Christmas Eve Gift

We are such suckers. The trampoline was supposed to come on Christmas morning from Santa Claus...but like a bunch of little kid ourselves we couldn't wait to give it to her! Christmas Eve afternoon Jonathon and Chris spent hours (as they always do) putting her gift together. They put it together in the garage so she wouldn't see it in the backyard. To say that she loved it would be an understatement. She had so much fun jumping in the garage. After everyone else opened up all their gifts we caved and gave it to her under the guise of Santa needing help to put it together bc it wouldn't fit on his sleigh...clever, no? I have a feeling this one won't fall for the shenanigans as long as the average bear. She is to inquisitive. We enjoyed having Mom and Chris here so much and it wouldn't be the same without them here to help us out. So blessed to have them. Of mention, did anyone notice her mexican dress in the photos? Well...I told her she could wear ANYTHING she wanted to open presents and of all things this dress is what she picked. We bought it two months ago and ya'll I swear she has grown two inches since we got back!

Family Christmas:Take 1

We are like that movie with Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn...only sometimes we have more than four Christmas's. We kicked off our extravaganza in Amity with my family. It is still so hard during the holidays because I miss my grandparents so very much. The holidays just aren't the same without them and hearing that darn song "I'll Be Home For Christmas" is still enough to send me into sobs :-( It is so great to "go home" and be with my family this time of year. Georgia had a blast and of course hit pay dirt once again in the gift department. We finished off the weekend by doing Christmas with Mom and Chris and then we followed it up the next weekend with Jonathon's parents and my Dad and Vickie. Crazy!!! More pics to come. New Year, New Beginnings

2011. Where did it go? I am fairly certain I say that every year...This year however has been the most life changing we have had as a family of three (or four if you count Zane). At the end of 2010 we moved into our new home so this was our first official year here. We have found our safe place here and it truly has become home. Jonathon has worked nights since we married nine years ago and this year he changed jobs...he is officially home with us! We love it. We have had family dinners, family prayers and family bickering lol. It has been the biggest blessing to date for our us and I thank God every day that Jonathon can be here to see her grow. Also of note, after a very long time I also changed jobs. My stress level has gone from through the roof to almost non-existent thanks to the blessing of my new job. Faith in God is also having faith in his timing and this time the time was just right! This has made me much more present for my family and for that I am grateful. Georgia went from being a toddler to a little girl right in front of our eyes this year. If you asked me to explain it, I can't. Just to say that she is her very own person now. She is no longer an extension of me. She is Georgia. She is Gigi. She is Georgie. She is Gracie. She is Pickle Bottom. She is GGP. She is whatever and whomever she wants to be. But she will always be mine all mine :-) This year she moved out of her parenting gymnastics class into regular "big girl" gymnastics and ballet and tap. I don't have to hold her hand anymore...sniff sniff. She discovered that she likes to wear her hair straight from time to time (like in these very pictures) and I learned how to french braid. We welcomed some new cousins this year in Blake, Finn, Jackson, Payton and Stone and we are anxiously awaiting the arrival of some new additions is 2012. She had her first official sleepover with Bella AND she spent an entire weekend with my Dad and she loved it! She was so brave! She is learning to write and can spell her name like she has been doing it for years. She memorizes books and reads them to me as if she can already read the words right off the pages. She loves the color pink, to wear my make-up and to eat spaghetti. She loves to play tickle fight, have movie-thons and snuggle with her mama and daddy. What I wouldn't give to keep her this way forever. But as she says when I tell her that very thing..."Mama, I have to grow up" She is wise beyond her years ;-) Pretty little thing. I love her. I love my life. I love that God has blessed us. I love that we have worked for every single thing that we have and we will continue to work and build our lives and help mold this precious girl into the best human being we possibly can. I love love. And Georgia Grace- I love you most of all. Here's to 2012 and all the good yet to come.

Hog Wild

Well...given the lack of posts as of late we almost missed the entire football season with no Hog pics! What?! The audacity! We used to have season tickets, we used to never miss a game, we used to love love love the road trips and now...well things are different. Now, we like to be with her and watch the games from the warm comfort of our living room. So, even though we may not make it to the hill anymore quite as much as we used to, we still don't miss an opportunity to get dressed up for the game and get our game face on. Don't worry, we will be cheering them on during the Cotton Bowl so loudly they will undoubtedly hear us all the way to Dallas!

Our first "real" birthday party! Every year we have had a party at our home and just had our "framily" here but this year she got to invite whomever she wanted and we went to Jump Zone! It was soooooo much better than having it here. No fuss. No muss. She picked a monkey theme and she wore her monkey ears to the party. In the chaos I didn't even take a pic of the cupcakes but you can see from the photos a lot of fun was had. After it was all said and done this kiddo was exhausted and she got more loot than we knew what to do with. We put some away and are saving it for a rainy day.

Christmas Musical Success

Georgia's school Christmas musical was on December 8th which also happened to coincide with Mom's birthday, G's birthday party weekend and Mom's visit! This is her third musical and this is the first one I would say she has literally rocked out. She wasn't shy, she didn't get embarrassed and she sang her little heart out. It was awesome! I was so proud of her. Perfect way to kick off the holiday season.

We celebrated :-) We were so very glad to be home even though we missed the beach we missed our friends too! I would guess we had upwards of 100 trick or treaters and I'm honestly not sure if the girls liked getting candy or handing it out more :-)

We got home from vacation just in time for Halloween...also the week I started said new job. These are the last pictures I have downloaded on my computer. Vacation and then halloween...then things went haywire and I haven't hooked up my camera since. I am going to do that this week! As you can see, when we arrived home we had to have a little visit with Finn and C Bear. Sweet babies. Also, Jonathon's team at work had a costume contest so we were scrambling to get him ready...he did good huh? They won! Even though these pics are of Halloween, I hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas vacation as much as we did. We have just relaxed the last couple of days and it has been A-MAZ-ING. No complaints here :-)

Sand and Sea

Hello again. I have been gone for way too long! I started a new job about six weeks ago. The Monday we returned from this vacation actually. Needless to say after seven years at the same job, this has taken some settling in and a lot of transitioning. All great changes are preceded by chaos. Touche'. This vacation was much needed as was this new adventure I have embarked on with my job. It was time for a change indeed! Natalie and Aaron went with us this time which was such an added bonus. We sunned and ate and drank and celebrated! They got engaged while we were there! AMAZING. Unforgettable. Priceless. I think we all had a really wonderful time. Thank you Mom and Chris for allowing us these opportunities and letting us all tag along. It means the world. We love you. Also, if I had time I would tell you about each individual picture. However, it took me two months to even get them on here so don't push it. Just know it was amazing and there is a picture for every story. Some of my favorites were: La Laguna, Fajita Republic, lunching and lounging by the pool, watching G with her Papi and Mimi, Nat and Aaron's engagement of course and just being with our friends and family. It was blissful. Here's to next time :-) Can't wait!!!

NEVER TOO OLD TO SAY BFF

"They" say that true friends can pick up right where they left off no matter how much time has gone by. These girls are that for me. They know me better than anyone else on the face of the planet and I love them. I talk to some of them everyday, some of them weekly and sometimes months can go by before a couple of us talk but all that to be said, it never feels awkward or weird, it feels like we were just in the same place yesterday...only with a lot more little people running around. We were sans Missy bc her great grandmother passed away and sans Kris bc she lives so far away but the rest of got together for a day of family and friends and soaking up some sun. The four babies: Payton, Cooper, Jackson and Blakely were all born within a couple of months of eachother and then of course we had the "big kids" which meant we were outnumbered 7 to 6. You may have noticed Georgia's crazy awesome outfit in the pics...thats bc like all best friends do she borrowed some clothes from Paxton so she wouldn't ruin her new cute outfit rolling around in the dirt lol. She looked awesome with her leopard headband and striped polo shirt. We should have gotten a pic of the shoes she had on! We ended the day at Bravo for those of us heading back in the LR direction. Whew! What a day! What a wonderful day.

This is the Acxiom Pep Rally/Tail Gate. Jonathon's job has been such an incredible blessing to our family. Having him home with us has really changed the dynamic of our family and for the better! Before it was a constant girl fest around here and now with him at home in the evenings there are family dinners, play time in the back yard, walks together at the end of the day and it frees up our weekends a little more too because we aren't trying to shove everything in. Also, his new job is so flexible and family oriented we couldn't have asked for a better set up. God is good. I am so lucky and I know it. Can I get an Amen? Lol. Have a great day everyone!

We recently returned from visiting the parents in Atlanta. SO MUCH FUN. Usually we just eat, play and hang out. It has been MONTHS almost a year since we have been so this trip was action packed. First stop the Georgia Aquarium. You can see from the pics who Georgia Grace is enamored with. That would be her Papi Chris. Chris has been in my life since I was a teenager...lucky him lol. I don't really remember a time he wasn't there offering advice, breaking up arguements between my mother and I or just being a great step-dad. What a wonderful bonus to have him in my family. Georgia is a very lucky little girl to have such a cool Papi. This trip was so much fun. We got to see all the "framily" in Georgia and my sweet Georgia peach had an absolute ball. Thank goodness for facetime so we can keep track of all her little friends a few states away :-) Her Mimi had a blast spoiling her rotten and shipping her back home lol. Love love love my family!

Hugging It Out

These two fight like sisters but they always end up loving on eachother :-) Lately Bella has been Funky McFunkerson in her funk and Georgia has been Crabby McCrabberson...three is interesting. Two was a breeze compared to the attitude that came with three. Don't get me wrong, she is great 92% of the time its the other 8% that makes me want to pull my hair out. When I was pregnant I prayed and prayed and prayed for a little girl. I dreamed in pink. Pink bows, pink blankets, little pink booties, pink dresses and pink tutus. I think I wanted a girl so badly because I wanted to see her dance. Literally. I wanted to put her in tights and a ballerina bun and see her whip around like the girls on So You Think You Can Dance. Yes, I am a total weirdo. She has been doing gymnastics since she was 18 months old and at the ripe old age of 3 she is finally old enough to take Tap and Ballet. Last night was her first class! She loved it and she did so good! I asked her after class if she liked one better than the other and she said she liked ballet the best because she got to flap her fairy wings...SWOON. I am in little dancing girl heaven. They all looked so sweet! I was the mammarazzi with my camera all up in everybodies face and Im fairly certain the other mama's wanted to knock me out but I care not! I am so glad I get to document her first ever class. She may hate it in a few months or she may live it and breathe it one day. Either is fine with me because this grown up little girl finally got to see her baby in pink tights and dance shoes and that is good enough for me :-)

Family Ties

My Uncle Britt was in town visiting from Kansas last week and we drove down the The Village to have dinner and catch up. Sam came sans his twin brother Luke, and my Aunt Jane's mom Miss Doris and "Uncle" Larry, my Uncle Britss best friend who lives here. I love G getting to spend time with my family who are so far away. It makes me miss them even more when I get to see them :-( She loved visiting and told me just last night, she wanted Uncle Britt to come over...she still hasn't grasped the concept of distance yet, as she told my Mom on Friday to just fly over with Papi and go to the movies with us. "Come on", she said,"it will be fun." It was so nice to see some Elam's...can you see any family resemblance?! :-) Everyone says I look just like my Mom...and I know that I do but every now and then I see a little something else too. Good thing they are all good looking ;-) Happy Monday!!!!

Smurfin' Around

Georgia went to the movies for the first time ever yesterday!!! Most kiddos have probably been to the movies before 3 and 1/2 but with my hyper active child I was a little aprehensive until now. She did GREAT!!! We polished our nails smurf blue for the event!!! The movie was great and we had so much fun! It was unanimous we really want a smurf for a pet. I want Clumsy she wants Smurfette, Jonathon doesn't care :-) It is so amazing and fun when something we all loved as children our children get a chance to experience. Every Saturday morning I would watch the Smurfs at my Granny's house while eating fudge rounds and donut sticks. There were no DVR's, no re-runs,if you missed it you missed it until next week. Too bad, so sad. It was something I always looked forward to. The Smurfs and the Cosby's on Thursday evenings lol. My little G reminds me a bit of Olivia lol, maybe one day we can share that too. For now, we await the Smurfs to filtrate into all our local Targets or Wal Marts so we can get lots of Smurf stuff...for Georgia of course :-)

New Digs

Auntie Suna and Stephen got all moved in their new home a couple of weeks ago and we haven't had the pleasure of visiting yet...until this weekend. Georgia was in awe of the whole house, but her favorites were the bathtub that sits down in the floor, the sauna, the stairs, and of course the tree house. A REAL treehouse and Suna told her it was all hers. I mean, what 3 year old doesn't want part ownership in a tree house? I swear my little babies chest puffed up and her eyes were twinkling she was so happy. Suna loves her to pieces and I am fairly certain the feeling is mutual. Much love to the Vickers. MWAH!

Christmas in July

The obsession with Christmas continues. She loves to wear her Santa hat...even in 100degree weather, she tells me she misses Frisbee at least weekly (that is her Elf on a Shelf), and her favorite game on the Ipad is a Christmas tree game. Just last night we read How The Grinch Stole Christmas for her bedtimes(what we affectionately call her bedtime stories) and night before last it was Olivia Claus. I would say that Christmas year round could take the fun out of the real deal but I don't think that's even possible :-) She definitely gets it honest. Did I mention we got a new Ipad? OMG. Jonathon surprised us the week after Georgia's surgery and it is my favorite gift ever (besides Georgia). She loves loves loves it and there are so many games and apps that are just perfect for her. I guess it was really kind of Christmas in July afterall :-)

Fun and Fellowship

We spent the 4th of July with Ashley, Stacy and their two sweet kiddos, Greyson and Grier. They just live a couple streets over so we all walked over to the country club and watched their fireworks then came back for a fireworks show of our own :-) We ended up with every kid in the neighborhood at our house. It was SO much fun. I think I had a big stupid grin on my face all night long. I felt like we were the "cool kids" lol. Only we were the grown-ups... A special thank you to G's Aunt Natalie for her cute outfit.:-) Happy Monday, too bad this week isn't a short holiday weekend!

10 Days

Wow! Where has the summer gone? Is it really almost August?! We have been so busy and it seems like its go go go all the time in our house. On July 7 Georgia had her tonsils and adenoids out and tubes put in her ears. She did a wonderful job and she was so brave! She kept asking everyone after the surgery to look and see if they were still there :-) Upon our initial visit with the ENT they told us to expect her to be down two weeks. I laughed out loud (in my head) thinking, yeah right, this is a routine deal, two or three days tops. Well, as luck wouldn't have it, I was wrong. This poor thing was down and out for ten, yes TEN days. She isn't particularly a fan of Popsicles or anything mushy so getting her to eat was also a challenge. We were able to get her to drink and that was a saving grace. My mom came and stayed the entire week following the surgery so Jonathon and I could go back to work and that was a God send. Im pretty sure she has more patience than I do bc the whole process of medicine and food was just awful. Ugh. I am glad this is not something we have to do again. Georgia really was a trooper and hardly cried she was just so pitiful. Seeing my spunky vivacious girl down and out is not something I ever want to see again.
On day ten and as luck would have it, the day before Mom went home, she felt better. ALL BETTER. She went from virtually not eating to eating anything she could get her little sweet hands on. We had Cantina Laredo on the way to the airport and of course she tore up a quesedilla and some cheese dip :-) Obviously now it has been a little over two weeks and she is back to her old self with the exception of a really high pitched squeaky voice that sounds like she sucked all the helium out of a balloon. The doctor said it was temporary but I dont know....It did not improve her singing voice ;-)
For the first time in her short 3.5 years my baby is sleeping and resting. For those of you who don't know, she snored like a grown man. FOR REELZ. I have found myself walking in the room while she is sleeping and putting my hand on her chest just to see if she is breathing. She is and she is sleeping soundly. Now, Zane has taken up snoring...or maybe he snored all along and we just couldn't hear him for Georgia lol. Either way, I am so glad it helped! The doctor said her airways had 60 percent blockage. Poor kid.
I would like to say a belated thank you to every single one of my friends and family who were here for us/her during this procedure. I can't imagine what it would be like if it were something more serious lol because seriously you guys, this little girl is BLESSED!!! Thank you so much to everyone who visited the hospital and helped out along the way, for the stuffed animals, the balloons, the books, the flowers, the activities, the movies, the snow cone maker (no kidding), the new pajamas, the food care packages, the cards she got in the mail, the phone calls, the texts and the love, hugs and kisses. You guys are amazing and I was truly humbled by the outpouring of love over some tonsils!
Today we are going to church for the first time in four weeks and man we have missed it! I am excited! Also, I plan on trying to catch up on this blog, while simultaneously doing housework...because if nothing else I am a multi-tasker. Have a wonderful Sunday! XOXO

Happy ALMOST 4th! We have a big bag full of fireworks a.k.a. sprinklers and fountains thanks to Jonathon and we are patiently awaiting dark. We will walk over to Centennial tonight and watch the show and then come home and do our own little show for G :-) Yay! I think the 4th comes in second to Christmas for my favorite holiday. Things are certainly heating up around here! We have been keeping the roads hot and it is already over 90 degrees here and we are barely approaching June! We spent Memorial Day at Amanda Rhea's and had the BEST day. Jonathon and Jeremy both had to work so we made a girls day out of it. We grilled hot dogs, made cheese dip and lounged around all day. It was an awesome kick off to summer. I love it. The girls are so much fun now! I remember when they were little and being out at the pool was so stressful and an ordeal...those days are gone and here to stay is the excitement of getting to play in the water all day. I love having my little water baby out in the pool with me. She is not scared. At all. She swam from one end to the other to the other with her floaties on. The panda and the hippo water toy you can see in some of the pictures they have had since the first summer they were born ;-) Swim lessons begin next week! Enjoy our pics. This was a great great day. One for the record books :-)

Baby Finn!

We have been waiting nine long months for the arrival of this little man. If I had a nickel for everytime G asked me when will Finn be here I would be loaded. My friend Wendy had Finn on April 29th and after a long stint in the NICU he was able to go home with his family. After they were settled at home, three very excited little ones went over to meet their new familiy member! Georgia, Jax, and Chloe of course were all born within a month of eachother so this is the first new addition to their little gang! He is beautiful and lovely and cuddly and smells nice and he has big blue eyes and a little bit of dark curly...which I think will make it much easier for me to pass him off as my own when I steal him away in the middle of the night :-)I love him. He is perfect. I can't wait to see him again!

Last weekend Amanda Rhea and I attended the First Lady's Tea at the Governor's Mansion. Amanda's niece Tessa and her best friend Brianna came with us. They are thirteen years old and I'm pretty sure after the fun of dressing up they thought it was boring and lame lol. Im sure I would have thought the exact same thing at thirteen! The best part of the entire day was that Georgia got to spend the afternoon with her Auntie Suna. She adores Suna and I am certain the feeling is mutual. :-) Thank you Suna for being so sweet to her and thank you for keeping her on this beautiful Sunday afternoon. She had a blast!

My little baby girl blazing trails and fashion paths for all 3 and 1/2 year olds to follow... Because no little girl has ever had her ears pierced right? What a momentous moment for my girl! I was conflicted...I thought she was too little then she wasn't ready for the trauma but oh how she wanted earrings...like Princess Jasmine. She has asked for a week every day and I promised her when she was ready we would do it. She was ready. So off we went with Mimi. She hopped right up in the chair and while I could tell she was a little nervous, "Mama, how long will it hurt?" , she wore such a brave face. We picked out tiny cz's and they were perfect. The girls did them at the same time and upon the "click", she gave her surprise face and then some whimpers and I scooped her up for some love. She didn't cry just whined a little then she was over it. She was ready for the mirror! She picked out some bright blue glitter nail polish for a treat and then we went to Target and picked out a new Snow White dress! She is so proud of her earrings and I am sooooo proud of her. Of course you don't have your camera when you need it, so we made do with the phone.

My Mom. Being a Mom. Watching my friends become mothers. Its just about enough to bring tears to my weepy eyes...bc let's face it,I am a bit of a sap. I never imagined what being a Mom would be like or feel like for that matter. I didn't understand or grasp that it indeed would be the greatest accomplishment and undertaking in my life. The most rewarding, terrifying wonderful experience. I cannot believe it was four years ago today I told Jonathon we were going to have a baby! A baby! Now she is a little lady. My little lady. And I can only hope she is growing into the awesome person I know she will be.

I have had the pleasure of having wonderful women in my life. My Mom and two wonderful Granny's. My Granny Jean passed away bf all this digital technology and I don't even have an electronic picture of her to share here but she is in my heart. She never said a cross word about anyone EVER and I believe she was the true epitome of what a lady should be. My Granny Ruby...Oh what to say. She was pure LOVE. Love in the morning, love in the afternoon and love at night. She would rock me in a rocking chair to this day if she were still here. I have a picture of her rocking me the Christmas before she died. I owe a lot to these ladies and I wish there were phones in heaven and I could call them up and tell them Thank you and Happy Mothers Day. I know my Mom and Dad are missing them each today respectfully.

Then, my own Mama. I LOVE MY MAMA. She is fun and wonderful and wise and my rock. I don't know what I would do if I could not pick up the phone and call her at least three times a day. She probably wishes I would knock it off...LOL. Watching her become a Mimi has been an amazing experience. Imagining that this must have been the way we were when I was little and being so glad I have a Mom that is invested and loves me so much. She is hard on me, always has been, and even now I still get huffy and puffy on her at occasion but GAWD I am thankful for her. I am who I am because of it and am where I am bc she refused to do it all for me. Thank you Mom for making me be independent. Thank you for loving to shop with me and eat Mexican with me and watch Days of Our Lives with me too. The little things that we do together are the most precious to me. Also of note, the fact that you let me "borrow" all your stuff and know I will never give it back and you never complain :-) I miss you and I love you and I hope you have a wonderful Mothers Day! XOXO!!!! See you soon.

Spring Musical

Georgie Poo's spring musical was last night and she did so good! She was such a little ham up on that stage and displayed her bossiness for all to see as she directed other kiddos where to stand lol. You can tell she was right up front and center with Ms. Chloe Bear. I had to travel almost 3 hours away yesterday so Amanda Rhea picked her up from school and helped her get ready. Bonus-We got to take some pics of them together when I got home. Nana and Popa came and she was so excited! I was just soooooo proud of her Im sure I was smiling from ear to ear all night! I cannot beieve, repeat, cannot believe how big these girls are getting. Chloe, B and G are almost three and half years old! Where did the time go?! Geez. Also, of note, Georgia is not practicing her karate moves in the last pics...she is showing everyone her ballerina moves :-) Here's looking forward to a quiet productive weekend. We are planning on making our first mulch purchase ever. Decisions. Decisions!

There is our family. Then there is the family we choose for ourselves inside our circle of friends. I do not have siblings but God has given me a handful of girls that I would call my "sister". Amanda Rhea is one of them. We set out this weekend to her Mom's house, otherwise affectionately known as Granny Becky. Of course the weekend wouldn't have been the same without Uncle Shane, Patricia and Tessa, Gage and Drift! These are crazy snapshots of our weekend in the country! She flew kites, ran free in the fields, played with the bunnies Clover, Sunny and Blue and the pigs Bowser and Jubutu, rode four wheelers, jumped on the trampoline, played chase with Drift and ate until her little heart was content. I am so glad these two little munchkins get along. Thank goodness for that. Ms. Becky asked us this weekend what in the world we would do if they become teenagers who can't stand each other? LOL. The best we can hope for is they love each other enough now that it feels like family. We teach them to say what they need to say to each other give the other some space and move on. Here's hoping it goes that smoothly. Eddie even accused Amanda Rhea and I at one point of bickering more than the two of them. LOL. Yes, I suppose we do. That's why I love her. I felt like I was 13 years old again :-) It was a wonderful weekend. We missed Jonathon and Zane but I think they had fun holding down the fort and watching the Masters. I have a super busy week this week and will be traveling the state far and wide. Please send prayers for safe travels. Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend!!!

I wish I could bottle her up and keep her this way forever. Her heart is so big and if you ask her what to say if someone is mean to her (bc apparently 3 year olds are vicious at school) she will say "That's OK, God loves me." *Tear* She has an amazing kind heart. Bella came over on Tuesday and when she was leaving she was taking her brand new play-doh with her...now why Amanda Rhea did this I have no idea but she says, "Bella, leave some of your play-doh for G." Tears ensued and of course she didnt want to leave it. Who could blame her? Mean old mama! Georgia put her arm on Bella's and said, "Dry your tears Bella, it's OK, you can take it." Amanda and I both waited with baited breath...Bella took the play-doh and then said, "No, you can have it, you're my friend." Then B even let her pick which colors she liked and hugged her. Oh.My.Gawd.Yall. They are three! Three! I am so glad they are learning the importance of being kind to one another and to others...well for today anyways. Next week they may be hitting and kicking and calling eachother names but for now we are on the right track and that's really more than I could ever ask for.

Well, it's official, spring has sprung. We couldn't be happier at our house. We have played outside the last two days and had a ball on our swingset! I feel like we are really getting to use it for the first time. I shared all the fabulous professional shots we got in Mexico but here are the real deal, real life snapshots we got! Mom brought the disk home this weekend with all the pics on it and I loved reliving our vacay. I want to go back...NOW!!! We laughed, we played, we ate ice cream every single night. Papi and Daddy took her to see the iguanas and crocodiles every day. We swam, we built sand castles (well they did and I watched) and we were completely happy just to be there. When we drove past the golf course yesterday she said, "Mama, is that Mexico?" I wish lol. It would be nice to have all of this right in your backyard. Until next time....
