Four Christmases

One of our four! She had such a blessed holiday season. We went to my Granny Ruby's house (now my Aunt Greta and Uncle Tony's house) the day after the party for Chrismtas with my Mom's family. This is "going home" for me. This place is my one constant. The place where my heart feels the warmest and the lightest during the holidays. I never missed a Christmas here in 31 years except the year G was born and I had just come home from the hospital. Christmas just wouldn't be Christmas without this place :-) Jonathon had to work so it was just G and me but we so enjoyed seeing everyone. It was our fourth Christmas without Gran and our fourth Christmas with Georgia...even though she just turned three she managed to squeeze an extra Christmas in there. The Lord works in mysterious ways. On another note, My Aunt Sharon's Dad, Larry, passed away yesterday please keep her and her family in your prayers this week. XOXO.

Birthday Bash

Three was amazing. The party went off without a hitch and G had a blast! Mom and Chris arrived on Thursday for the holiday festivities and Chris was so helpful getting the bounce house ready. They brought it a day early and it rained over night leaving the bounce house soaked and covered in ice. OH NO! Jonathon worked Saturday morning so Chris really did save the day. I'm surprised he didn't catch pneumonia! The day turned out to be a beautiful sunny day and almost 55 degrees! We were even able to hang out outside which was amazing in the middle of December. She had a great turn out and we kept it small this year bc we had it at our home :-) She got a stick horse from us that she has been dying for and countless Princess toys, toy Story toys and books from her friends and family. It was a wonderful day. This was party stop number two after Papaw's party. She had one last hoo-rah on her actual birthday at Outback...Stay tuned....

Happy Birthday Gorgeous!

Three years ago today was absolutely hands down the best day of my life... and at the time I didn't even know it. Georgia Grace decided to come a little early so the fact that I was in labor at all was a complete surprise. She couldn't wait to meet us! I think she secretly wanted to be a Christmas baby :-) They brought her to us in a stocking and we got her this hat that she is wearing in these pics. It finally actually fits! As I was in labor the hospital staff was caroling outside the door Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer and Jingle Bells. This year she can sing every word. Happy Birthday my beautiful smart sweet precocious determined independent girl. Mama loves you so much. These moments are flying by. I hope three is your best year yet. I can't wait to see what all we can get into :-)

Christmas Cookies?

This was a sad sad attempt to make Christmas cookies one day after school. I just let them go to town with the sprinkles and this is what they ended up with...I ended up with sprinkles even in the pots and pans underneath the cabinet ;-) The purple plate is G's masterpiece...A DOUBLE DECKER!!! And the green is Bella. I think they have a long way to go before either of them make it to Top Chef.

Papaw Is Awesome

Georgie had the first of three birthday parties this past weekend. We went to Papaw's house for party stop #1. It was a huge success. She had horsey cupcakes, a huge cupcake cake and mini-cupcakes...Does someone sound spoiled? I don't remember ever getting three different cakes for one birthday! She will have a party at school next week then a party here next weekend. I will have pics of the party at dad's soon. These pics are actually from our last visit there. This visit she spent warming up to Booger(Dad's horse)...And yes his name is Booger. The end.

To Bethlehem

Georgie had her first official "program" last week! It was entitled "To Bethlehem" Aunt Amanda and Bella came over before and the girls got their hair and nails done. They looked so grown up! G couldn't stand still during the program and I think she had a bit of stage fright. Im not sure she ever actually found us in the audience. I was in the front videoing and there was a split second I thought she was gonna make a run for it to me when she spotted me...that is captured in one of the pics here where she is looking pretty desperate. She really did do a good job and was so brave :-) She looked around for her daddy and rest of our family the whole time. This marks the beginning of the chaos. From here on out it is full speed ahead to the holidays. Not sure I'm ready yet. Im already tired just thinking about it ;-)
