"Straight" Talk

Georgia- You have been blessed or maybe cursed (the jury is still out) with beautiful crazy curly hair. For the rest of your life, you will get mad at mama for brushing it, pulling on it, and just generally trying to get it under control. :-) On Saturday night after bathtime and WAY past your bedtime, we decided to have a little girl time and mama tried to straighten your hair by brushing and blowdrying. It sort of worked. Obviously, I didnt get it completely straight, but mama was FLOORED at how long it was! You looked so sweet with your grown up pony that it made mama sad. I promise many more Saturday nights playing with makeup, nailpolish, and fixing eachothers hair. I cant think of any other way I would rather spend my evenings. We will let daddy participate too. Maybe he will let us paint his toes :-) I love you gorgeous girl. Big as the sky. Always, Mama

Backpack Backpack....

A couple of weeks ago I was standing in Georgia's closet putting away her diaper bag (one of about 15) and it hit me that (hopefully) by the end of the year, we wont be using diaper bags anymore. As it is, we dont really need a big bag when we go out, we just need a small bag for a couple of diapers and a snack. We have been carrying this little backpack with us to run errands, go eat, etc. She still needs her big bag for school and church bc her blanky has to go in it, but those are about the only two places we use a "real" diaper bag anymore. She likes to be a big girl and wear her backpack around the house. Its sweet. It being almost October now, I can't even imagine having a diaper trained baby by December or January. That will be sooooooo weird!!! I CANNOT flipping wait!!!

Going To The Chapel

What a weekend it has been! We have been going mach II with our hair on fire it seems. I have so many pics to post I think it will take me all week to share them all with you! On Saturday night we went to Jonathon's cousin, Danny's, wedding. Georgia had a blast following her big cousins, Hailey and Savannah, around. She LOVES them! Today it is a beautiful day so we are off to take advantage of it. Hope you all do too.

Rockin' her new boots...She would not stay off of the "stage". She wanted to be front and center!

Giving her mama the kissy face!

Me to Georgia-"On your feet, sister, you are about to be attacked by the TICKLE MONSTER!!!"

Me to Georgia-"I love your belly laughs!"

Georgia to Me-"Whew! That was fun, mama. More!"

Fair Queen(s)

She loved the fair just as I knew she would! The smell of corndogs and funnel cakes all mixed in with stinky cows and smelly people! It was wonderful! We didnt make it to the fair last year bc it rained the ENTIRE time so this was her very first trip! Amanda Rhea and I loaded up the girls and away we went. They rode rides, played the little duckie game, and of course pigged out on funnel cake. They were exhausted when we left. The carnies tripped them out a little and one creepy old man scared Bella so badly that he gave her rose bc he felt so bad! HA! I think Jonathon may just have to take her back on Friday! XOXO

Look at these two cutie patooties. They are holding hands!

Georgia and Bella both look like they are in a trance and arent sure where to go next?

Giving her mama some lovin'!

We ran into Jena at the fair and she took a pic of all of us girls. UGH! This weather isn't doing my hair any favors :-)

Stickin' her hands in the germy water :-)

Playing her first fair game!!!

She wasnt to sure about it at first :-)

Riding in the duckies!

What's a trip to the fair without a bunch of loot?!

She and Bella hit it so big with the animals, she could barely see over the top of them! Of course, she wouldn't let me help her....

Dinner Date

I LOVE it when my friends come over for a visit. Tonight Nat came up and we had dinner AND chocolate pie. It was sooooo good, especially the pie :-) Georgey Poo was glad to see her Aunt Natalie and it was nice to just sit around, chit-chat and do absolutely nothing. Georgia was quite content to play with both of our phones all evening. Barkley (Natalie's Pomeranian) is the screen saver on her iphone and all G wanted to do was see Barkley. When she says his name it sounds more like Not-Ne. Its hilarious. I promised her a trip to LR next week to see Barkley and hang out at Nat's house. On another note, please say prayers for everyone in the Atlanta area that have been affected by the flood. Mom and Chris are fine and so are their friends, but it was their county that was hit the hardest and has had the biggest death toll so far. Chris went to work this morning and cant get home tonight. :-( I hope the waters are receding as we speak and all looks better for them in the morning. XOXO

One Down, Six Million To Go

Mosquitoes, that is. They are so bad here! This morning, Georgia was eating her pancakes minding her own business and I came back in the room and a mosquito had gotten her five times on her little face, on her arm and on her leg! She swells up like a little bullfrog when she gets bit. The photo of her all pitiful with her paci is after the attack. :-( I killed that one, but Im afraid he has lots of little friends...I hope they all go away really soon! I am keeping her lubed up with caladryl and hydrocortizone cream so she doesnt scratch herself to death. As you can see her day greatly improved. :-)

Two Little Monkeys Jumping On The Bed

Chloe and Alicia came over for a mini playdate on Sunday evening. The girls wanted to take a bath and what better way to follow up a bath than with a bout of bed jumping!!! They had so much fun. I love to hear Georgia say JUMP! JUMP! JUMP!. I probably shouldn't let her jump on the bed, but she LOVES it so much I simply can't help myself!
