Dallas Here We Come

Nat, Georgey, and I are off to visit Missy in Dallas! I am heading to work and after my afternoon meeting, we are outta here! Please pray for a safe trip and pray Georgia is a good girl in the car :-) Also, throw in some prayers that Jonathon survives without us.... Hope everyone has a great weekend. I can't wait to see my friend!

BORN TO BOOGIE

This child loves to dance. I have no moves whatsoever so I hope she gets some sweet moves from her daddy :-) She even dances to the water noises when we drive through the car wash. If there is a beat, she will find it. I love it when she really gets going. It is the best thing in the whole world to see her happy and dancing.

COLOR ME BADD

Oh, she has discovered crayons! They don't smell like they used to. Weird. She hasn't got it all figured out just yet, but she is working on it. I'm not really good at artsy craftsy stuff so coloring may the be extent of our creativity in this house, I figured now was a good time to start. She loved it and cried when it was time to put it away :-(

Chicken Soup for the Homesick Soul

Oliver Wendell Holmes said, "Where we love is home,Home that our feet may leave, but not our hearts." I love this quote and it has always struck a cord with me. In light of really missing my family, Georgia and I loaded up yesterday when Jonathon went to work and went to visit. It was worth every second of the five hours we spent roundtrip on the road. When I drove passed Gran's house I couldn't help but tear up and wanting to spill out every memory I have and commit them all to Georgia's memory so she knows how wonderful she was, as were the rest of her great-grandparents. It breaks my heart that they will never know her nor she them. Luckily, because I am not the only picture freak in my famliy she will have lots of photos to look at when she gets a little older. Our visits are few and far between but I am blessed that I know they are all just a phone call away. :-) Also, I scored enough chocolate oatmeal cookies to remind of home for at lest the next week or so.

Papaw Dan

Dad came up yesterday to see "Gracie" and we so enjoyed getting to see him as always. Georgia thinks her Papaw's Donald Duck noises are funny. And they so are. Visits are indeed great but each and every time it makes me sad that I am not closer to my family. THEY ARE TOO FAR AWAY!!! Yes, all of you reading this blog, you are all too far away!!! My dream one day would be to somehow get right smack in the middle of all of it and drive you all crazy! :-)

Some Kind Of Wonderful

If I have said it once, I have said it a million times.... I have wonderful friends. Not having siblings, perhaps makes my friendships even more special. Georgia is blessed she has such wonderful "aunt's" to look up to and to set good examples for her. It makes me happy that they love her so much. We had fun visiting with Mer and Nat last night. We had a pizza party and Aunt Nat and Georgia made peach cobbler, the pretend kind :-). The only thing missing was Barkley. He had gone to visit Ms. Brenda butGeorgia pointed at his picture a million times and barked at it throwing in the surprise face from time to time. So sweet. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Standing On Her Own Two Feet

We are still in awe seeing this child stand up on her own. She is still so little and just looks so funny doing it! She still prefers to crawl but if you stand her up she will take right off. We have given her so much applause at what a big girl she is, she now claps for herself!

TUTU CUTE

It would be fair to say that OCCASIONALLY I get a little carried away with the camera. Yesterday afternoon was one of those times. We had so much taking pics and watching Georgia prance around in her tutu. It is CRAZY to watch her stand on her own and walk. It is amazing to me that a week ago the little stinker wouldn't even really stand up by herself! She eventually walked right out of her tutu and you can see the heart on her hiney! We took so many pics it was hard to decide what to post, so I am posting more than usual! Enjoy.
