Little Pig Little Pig

Dear Georgey:

The reason for this letter baby girl is that I need you to know that today is game day. Game day in any other house is perhaps not such a big deal but your daddy is a freak and it is a very big deal here. When we wake up on game day from now until the rest of your life (or at least as long as you live here) you will have to get your game face on from the time your little feet hit the floor. Now, also important to note, if we lose the not speak to daddy, do not look at daddy... just ignore him. Most certainly never use the term "It's just one game or it will be ok". Big Mistake. After almost 11 years with your dad, take it from me, it is best to just leave him alone. He acts like a big ole' baby when things don't go his way. But also remember sweet girl that there is no better time to ask for something you might want after we have won a big game. Daddy will be in such a great mood, a guaranteed yes is in order! Heed Mommy's advice Little Pig and you will be just fine. Love and Kisses!

She looks so gorgeous in her new hat!!! Hogs truly are beautiful just like her pin says. I don't think it will actually fit until next football season but we played around in it just for fun. Last season she was in my belly and today as Mitch and Jonathon were leaving for the game they reminded me how whiny I was last year all big fat and pregnant trekking it up to Fayetteville almost every weekend. I was a trooper though!! We even went to Knoxville when I was seven months pregnant. Georgey has already had her taste of Razorback football!! Today is Petrino's first game. Here's hoping for a new era. Out with the with the new!! G and I will be listening.

3 Day Weekend

Georgia, Jonathon, Zane, and I have been looking forward to this weekend forever!!! She is changing so much and growing so fast. I swear if I blink she is doing something new. I am so excited to have 3 whole days to spend time with her! Last night she army crawled from one end of the carpet to the other. Now keep in mind that I did use my blackberry for hostage but it worked!!! She did so great. She is finally saying what does sound a lot like MAMA after much practice on my part. But...the kicker is she only says it when she cries. Its not a waaa waaaa waaa its a maaa maaa maaa cry. So, I could be mistaken. She also does it when I leave the room. It breaks my heart. She can stand up now when she is supported and it blows my mind that in 3 1/2 months my baby will be a year old. Oh my gosh, it hurts to look at that in print. Makes me want to go waaaa waaaa waaaa! Also, of note this week we began getting three solid meals a day. She gets cereal and fruit for breakfast and a vegetable with cereal for lunch, then at dinner we have added in some yummy chicken noodle or mac and cheese. She also like the sweet potato and turkey dinner. She still gets 6 ounces 4 times a day but we are trying to introduce new foods on a daily basis. She also got to try baby yogurt last week but I don't think she was to crazy about it. Neither is her mommy. Oh, and as an afterthought in case you were wondering...STILL NO TEETH!!!
Hope everyone has a safe and happy Labor Day weekend! GO HOGS!!!

"Its a great big world out there, Elizabeth Taylor"

I think these pics are so cute! She and Elizabeth Taylor would sit like this forever and just watch the wind blow by outside. If only Zaner Doodles would have been here to complete the trio. :-(

Barack The Vote

Just some snapshots of Georgia this morning showing her support for the democratic nominee in her Barack The Vote onesie. Today in front of over 70,000 people Obama will accept the nomination on the 45th anniversary of MLK's "I Have a Dream" speech. History is being made and G doesn't even know it! I wanted to record it here for her so she can see her place in history on this day. She is in a great mood and ready and waiting for me to take her to school. We are so glad it is almost the weekend!

Home Again Home Again

We are so tired here at the Pierce house. We got home around 1030 last night after many delays and many mishaps. G peed in her stroller and I had to carry her little hiney all through the Georgia airport. (This was after she pooed all over herself on our way out the door and we had to change clothes, get a bath, etc.) Then we got delayed....then she pooed on the plane and screamed like a wild banshee when we were landing bc her little ears hurt so bad. She flung her head around like a crazy person and wouldn't take her bottle or her pacifier. GOOD TIMES. Not to mention the philandering pastor from Hamburg we sat next to on the flight. He called his girlfriend then the wife (with a four week old baby at home) was an experience. Im quite sure Ive never wanted to hit a stranger so badly in my life. Natalie came and picked us up and poor girl she got a tearful and riled up new mom at the end of her rope. I don't know how people travel with more than one child. Its hard work! But alas...we are home and my little pickle is sleeping soundly tonight. I have a feeling her mommy will as well.

We are having so much fun in Atlanta! Georgia and I are both missing Jonathon and Zaner Doodles but we are so glad to get to spend some quality time with Mom. We have each gotten lots of TLC and lots of pampering. Here are some pics from lunch yesterday at La Fiesta. It is 70 degrees here and there is a steady breeze. It truly feels like the beach this weekend...minus the ocean. My mother is eating this baby up and G loves loves loves loves her Pape Chris. She is having a ball! More pics to come! XOXO

Just Another Manic Monday

Monday. Blah. Have I ever mentioned I hate Mondays? Probably at least a hundred times. As Cyndi Lauper once said " I wish it was Sunday...cause that's my fun day." She hit that nail on the head. Sundays are way better than Mondays. I want to lay around in my pj's all day and do absolutely nothing but love on my baby. We would read books and go for a walk and take long naps. Ahhh...yes that is what we would do. But instead I will head off to work and we will somehow squeeze all of that into a few evening hours. I wouldn't trade my Sunday's with her for all of the money in the world.

Showers, Showers, Everywhere....

We went to Court's wedding shower this weekend. Of course Miss G was the belle of the ball(besides the bride of course). I love to see all my girls together in one place. I miss them so much!!! With Meredith and Courtney's pending nuptials and Netty and Courtney both expecting little ones this winter I hope to see more of all of them. The only thing missing was Kris. She is still to far away. :-( I hate it that life gets so crazy and we forget to slow down and appreciate our friends. Jonathon played golf while we were off "showering" and then he and Georgey hung out so some of us girls could sneak off to dinner and have grown up girl talk. He is so great. Do I ever mention that? I am so blessed. Today we were watching Veggie Tales and the little dancing asparagus sang "A thankful heart is a happy heart." Pretty smart coming from a dancing asparagus. I think I'll hang on to that one. Hope everyone had a great weekend. I did. My cup runneth over.

Central Christian Academy Open House Day!

We went to visit Georgey Poo's school today! She was in a great mood while we were there but as you can see from some of the pics she wasn't thrilled to be back home! She eventually perked up after she got some food in her belly. She ate all of her bananas....little monkey. :-) Her room at school is super cute. Each room has a theme and the infant room is called "The Pond". It has big turtles and frogs on the walls and they have soooooo many toys to play with. Jonathon and I both really liked her teachers and her crib is right next to Chloes! They will probably get notes sent home that say "talks to much in class". I can't wait!

The Boys are Back in Town

Georgia got to hang out with Logan, Barrett, and Aunt Emily this week while I worked in Hot Springs. I swear Logan is a natural with this baby. Georgia played so good with the boys! They rolled around in the floor all day and had a big time. I am so glad they have moved closer now so we can all spend more time together. I missed my friend and her boys! Thank god for cell phones and the internet but this is SOOOOO much better :-)

Bed Head

Her hair is growing so fast! She looks so cute when she gets out of the tub and it is going every which way. It is my favorite time with her bc she is soooo happy after her bath :-) Of all the things that have changed the most about Georgia the last few months I would definitely say it is her hair. Last week at the doctor she weighed almost 14 lbs, we were only two ounces away. I swear she is the tiniest thing and I am so glad bc I can still cuddle her up and rock her like a newborn. Ms. Wilma at her daycare calls her peanut and G just grins at her so big when she does. We will miss Ms. Wilma a lot, Georgia really likes her. Just two more days and on Monday we start her new school!

Looking Good IS Better than Being Good

Just some fun shots of G and her squash face! Isn't she the messiest thing you have ever seen?! If she ever gets teeth maybe she can have something a little more exciting. Still no signs of any yet though....were anxiously awaiting. Everytime she cries Jonathon and I both exclaim "Oh! She must be teething!" Nope, she's just crying. :-( Its the running joke in our household. I'm going to start taking bets on when the first one will come. Any takers?
