Here are some pics of Georgey and her besty. My baby has some serious hair envy going on over Bella Boo's pig tails...I told her to be patient...her time to have pig tails will come, it just might be five years from now :-) If she doesn't stop trying to eat her friends though she may not have any left!

Just had to post these pics of Georgey Poo and her new bikini. Jonathon says shes not old enough for a bikini. She sure does look sweet though! XOXO

Rock star with salmonella perhaps? Today at daycare they told me another little baby in her class has salmonella. Could this have been the evil culprit a couple of weeks ago? They didn't test her stool so one can't be to sure. My guess is probably so. It spreads through feces and my money is on the fact that those day cares don't sterilize the changing tables every time they change a baby and/or wash their hands. GROSS and should be illegal but I bet they don't. I had no idea it was contagious and certainly didn't know little babies could get it. I thought you got it from eating bad fish or chicken! I am learning so much! Betty was able to tell me more about it and I am so glad she did. So....Georgey is not going back tomorrow. She is going to spend the day with her Nana and Poppy Ed. We will play the rest of the week by ear but I am hoping to have a solution to keep her home for a couple of more days. Poor kid. She can't catch a break and we DO NOT want a repeat of what happened two weekends ago. On a side note, we will be starting a new preschool in a couple of weeks (not related to the salmonella). She will be going to a christian based program and I could not be more thrilled! I really think she is going to love it and I am going to love the fact that I can log onto the web anytime of day and see how my little pickle is doing.

She is so ticklish! I can not imagine life without this little tickle monster :-) She got her bath and then afterwards we had a tickle fest just like always. It is hard to tickle and take pictures. It is times like these when I miss Jonathon the most in the evenings. I can't wait for him to finish classes and have a regular schedule. It will be so worth the wait to have him home with us all the time.

To Teethe or Not to Teethe?

That is the question....We have said she was teething for at least the last two months. No teeth yet though. I think she really is teething now (for the nine hundreth time) Stay tuned...

The Great Protector

He is the best dog. Poor Baby Zane, he doesn't get all the attention like he used to but he doesn't seem to mind. He loves this baby from the tips of her toes to the top of her little head. He shows her by licking her repeatedly. When she was sick he was right there hovering over her like a mother hen. If you look closely in the first picture he is asleep sitting up! It was so cute. :-)

Sittin' Pretty

She has finally gotten the hang of this sitting up thing! She is getting so big! I find myself saying that all of the time and she truly does get bigger and stronger every day. She is amazing. Have I said that before? :-) She has been sitting up all by herself all morning then finally she and Tyrone had to take a rest in her pink chair. Jonathon and I are having the best time with her. God is good and life couldn't be better here on our little island!

My mother was here last weekend and she paid me the greatest compliment. We were on our way home from dinner and as we were pulling into the drive I told her and Jonathon that there could be no fussing at me and that we were going to take some pictures. (We had to put that polka dress to use!) She lauged and said I was just like my granny and that she was so proud I loved pictures so much just as Gran had. Seems trivial but it meant the world to me. I loved nothing more than sitting in my grandmother's floor and looking at old pictures she had taken. So anyways... not so long story short...they all obliged me and let me take their picture. Even Zane and Elizabeth Taylor got in on the action. I love the pic with Mom, G, and them. It makes me laugh. Here are some other snapshots from the weekend...including one of Jonathon, Georgey and me. :-)

*On a side note...she is doing so much better! She has gone back to dayschool and seems to be recovering from her traumatic weekend nicely. Thanks so much for all your prayers and phonecalls.

Sick Baby

My sweet girl has been so sick all weekend. I had no idea a baby could poo so much. If your faint of heart (which I once believed myself to be) stop reading now! Since Thursday I think Jonathon and I have changed at least 30 to 40 poo diapers. I am pretty sure that I permanently smell of poo and spit up. She has had fever the entire time but no vomiting. Thank goodness. The doctor said they had seen 10 to 15 kids with these symptoms this week alone. Blah. Doesn't make me feel better. Also, here I am, new mom, thinking there has to be medicine to fix it. NOPE. NO DICE. NADA. NOTHING. Just try to get to her to eat and stay hydrated. WHAT THE ****? She doesn't want to eat she just wants to be held. Are you kidding me?! And to top it all off her little bottom is so raw she screams every time you take her diaper off. Apparently diarrhea has irritants that cause diaper rash. Who knew? I certainly didn't. But gets better. They write us a script for some cream then say "oh and go and get four other ingredients to mix it up with at home then smear that all over her"! You mean to tell me here we are in the age of technology, the age of nuclear medicine no less, and I have to make my own butt balm at home?! Oh yeah. And that's what we did. And the stuff worked like a miracle. Within hours her skin already looked a little better. Poor baby, all I wanted to do was help her and I just felt so darn helpless. Also, they told us at the doctor to get a spray bottle to spray her butt with then pat it afterwards and don't wipe at all. Well this trick is the equivalent of trying to wash your car with a water gun. So...Jonathon and I have been using the sink like we have never used it before. We just put her little bottom under the sprayer from the faucet and you know what? It works great! And no more crying because this little trick actually works. She doesn't even seem to mind. On the flip side...she is doing so much better today, she hasn't had fever, hasn't gone to the bathroom except a couple of times and her appetite is returning. She went to see her Nana this afternoon and get some more tender loving care. I miss her laugh and her big ole goofy smile. I can't wait for her to recover and feel like a million bucks. I would take this bug from her in a heartbeat if I could. Jonathon laughed as we were spraying her hiney down for the last time last night that if this wasn't love he didn't know what was. Oh how right he is. I'm sure someday she will be returning the favor. :-)

Polka Dots

My sweet girl in her polka dots! She looked so delicious in this dress, I wanted to eat her right up. Not much to report on this week. Have you ever heard of The Neverending Story? (My parents had to watch it at least 9 bazillion times throughout my childhood)....Well this is the Neverending Week! I want the weekend to hurry up and get here so I can spend time with my baby. At daycare she has been getting upset when they feed the other babies. She thinks the bottle is hers and she wants it. Everyone says..."Oh how sweet, she is so smart!" Bologna. She is spoiled. Chloe was over the other night and Alicia was feeding her and Georgia Grace went into meltdown mode. Little Stinker. But oh she is my little stinker and I love her to pieces. I wish I could go in and wake her up right now and kiss her all over her sweet little face! But...I guess I wont. :-(

Me and Bobby McGhee

Was feeling a little bit of Janis was Georgia. Bobby McGhee is perhaps the most loved song in our household. Music is always present here, I hope one day she loves it as much as we do.

Lordy Mercy Baby's Got Her Blue Jean Skirt On!!

Every girl needs her own blue jean skirt...its like a small rite of passage I suppose. Much the same as your first bikini, your first training bra, etc. Chances are Georgia won't remember her first skirt so we took pictures to commemorate the occasion. I remember mine it was stone-washed and Guess and it was soooooo cool. As for the bows, it won't be long and she will be frantically pulling them off her head...but for now, she is at my mercy...MWUAH HA HA!!! She looks beautiful with and without them. She and Jonathon are two peas in a pod...They are both almost bald :-) I love these guys!

My baby ate my blackberry!!!

I took a picture of all these bottles, bottle parts, and bowls so when in the very near future I am missing feeding this precious baby, I can look back and not miss handwashing all these dishes. I know. I know. I could use the dishwasher now that she is older. But I am convinced that the darn thing doesnt get all the soap off and I dont want her to get sick. Crazy and yes a bit neurotic. She is worth every last dish. The new object of interest however is my blackberry. She loves it! She must have it! It wouldn't be so awful if she broke it and no one could get a hold of me for a couple of days...Im pretty sure I have everything I need right here.

Ahhh...summertime. The only thing missing today were the mojitos. We had so much fun this weekend and ended it with a great Sunday. Now if only there was no work tomorrow!!! G is patiently sitting in my lap as I type this and I am pretty sure is worn out from all the fun she had today with B. She pooped out on Aunt Amanda Rhea's floor just when it was time to go home. Now its time to take a bath, get the sunscreen out of her curly hair and get one last bottle. I am the luckiest mommy in the whole world. :-)
