Pictures

I took these pictures of Georgia yesterday in her fabulous dress!!! Heather Owens took Georgia's pictures last week in Little Rock in this very dress and they turned out so great! If anyone is interested in having their children's pictures taken her website is: http://www.heatherowensphotography.blogspot.com/.
You can also go there to see a sample of some of the ones she took of Georgia. Tara got G this outfit and it might possibly be the cutest thing I have EVER seen! I had to post the ones I took of her bc as you can see she thinks its the cutest dress ever too!!!

Rock -n- ROLL

Georgia has had a very exciting weekend once again! She spent the afternoon on Friday with her Aunt Natalie and they went and got her picture made! As you can see from her picture in the car seat she was tuckered out after that ordeal :-) I would put her head back and it would just fall back forward, she was like a little rag doll. On Saturday she rolled from her belly to her back and she was so shocked at what she had done. Once she got the hang of it, we had to move the coffee table and she would roll from one side of the rug to the other. She was so proud of herself! Zane never left her side the whole time, he is such a good little protector and he loves her so much. I am blessed with the BEST dog. Georgia finally tired out from all that rolling around and she just fell asleep on her tummy. She slept like that for two hours!

Big Girl

Here is our big girl rolling over! She will be driving the car before we know it. Poor kid, I dont think there have been twenty minutes of her life that have not been documented. I am so looking forward to this weekend so we can all spend some time together. Even Zane is looking forward to it!

Splish Splash I Was Takin' a Bath

Baby Girl- Bath time with you is so much fun! You get your little legs going and your little lips and it makes for an interesting and rib-splitting combination. Giving you a "tubby" (to use your Aunt Emily's words) is one of my favorite things to do! The way you smell afterwards is a huge bonus, not to mention the extended nap that comes afterwards! I hope you always love bath time my little water baby! XOXO

4 Month Check Up

Georiga got her 4 month shots yesterday. She had a great day before hand and afterwards we came home and crashed out. She weighed 11 lbs and 2 ounces and was 23 inches long. She is in the 10th percentile for her height, weight, and even her little head! Our little peanut is growing big and strong though :-) The doctor said no cereal for her until she is 13 lbs or 6 months old. The doc felt like they would probably coincide so she suggested we wait for her 6 month check up. That means no cute pics of G rubbing cereal in her hair for now I suppose...we will all have to patiently wait...

Milestones

This weekend was crazy busy and full of milestones. Georgia and Bella went to their first birthday party together. It was Greyson's 2 year bday at the park! On Saturday night Georgia rolled over for the first time. Jonathon and I had been watching her all evening try so hard and we were playing with her in the crib and she just rolled right on over. It was very exciting and she looked so shocked once she actually got there. Now that shes done it, every time you put her on her back she goes to work, it makes me laugh :-). Once she is on her stomach she is mad and wants back on her back. We also had our first outing to Target together on Sunday. She did great. We ventured out to get some cereal and a bumbo seat. She is 4 months old today and if the doctor gives us the go ahead at our visit she will get to have some this evening! I'm not sure what she thinks about her seat yet...I think it might take some getting used to. Yesterday other than the trip to target (I guess my girl loves shopping) was a pretty fussy day. I'm hoping for a much better one today :-) We will see how she does after she gets her shots. XOXO

My Little Family

Georgey- May you always have jitterbug feet and cha cha arms. You bring daddy and I such joy!! Her own laughter sends her into fits of more laughter and I absolutely delight in it. I wish she could stay this way forever. She makes our little family complete.

Lazy Days..

What a life!!! To lay around and just be loved on all day every day, lucky little pickle bottom. She has been trying to roll over again, she is so funny. She gets so mad when she can't do it. You can see the frustration all over her face. She must get her impatience from her daddy...it for sure doesn't come from me ;-)
XOXO

Party at my crib!!!

Pretty Girl-All your friends came over to play tonight and you had so much fun!!! Bella couldn't come bc she had company at her house but Chloe and Jax came to see you!!! You were such a good baby and Aunt Wendy, Aunt Kristy, and Aunt Alicia were so glad to see you. I put you down for bed and you dropped your pacifier and actually managed to get it back in your mouth all by yourself!! Aunt Kristy and I cheered like you had just made the winning shot of the NBA finals. You will roll over any day now, you are almost there. Yesterday you held your bottle all by yourself for a whole five seconds. You are growing up so fast and I know that I am going to miss these days so much! Slow down sister, I am not ready for you to grow up just yet. Love you bunches and bunches. Night Night.

Some thoughts..

Grandparents must truly be a gift from god. My mom was here this weekend and watching her with Georgia was amazing. You always wonder how your parents will be as grandparents then it actually happens and wow! As you can see from the pictures we had a wild time then this sweet baby was tuckered out. She needed her beauty sleep!!!
Spending time with my mom and granny as I was growing up and even right up until she passed away last year was my favorite thing to do. I hope one day it is G's favorite thing to do as well. I can certainly attest to the fact that she enjoyed these last few days so we are off to a good start :-)

Smiley Baby

We had such a great weekend! The weather finally cooperated and we got to enjoy a little sunshine. Georgia was in such a great mood all weekend so of course I captured some of her smiles on camera to share with you. Papa Dan came to see G so I think that pushed her right over the happy edge. She is now the proud owner of her very own horse, Roper. She even has pink cowboy boots for her first ride!!! I love my daddy so much and it makes me ecstatic when he gets to see her. Thank god for beautiful days and our beautiful baby.

Friends are the bacon bits in the salad bowl of life...

It has been such a blessing being able to share this process of becoming a mother with my friends. Not only having their support but having them go through ALL of it with me. From being pregnant to actually giving birth to first fevers and first smiles. What a great thing to have so many people to rely on. One day these babies will all grow up and they will probably get on each others nerves. But for now, they are bestest friends (whether they know it or not). Amanda Rhea and I always said wouldn't it be neat if...we were neighbors, we married friends, and we had babies at the same time...who knew that one day it would actually happen. Someone famous once said "the best mirror is an old friend". So true.

We all prayed to bring these babies safely here and our prayers were answered. We mourned the loss of sleep together and rejoiced each accomplishment. My friends make the hard days bearable and the good days brighter. I am a better parent and a better person because I have good friends. Thanks to all of you for all that you have done for Jonathon, Georgia and me. Even though I don't have any siblings myself, Georgia Grace has more aunts than she knows what to do with. They all love her so much and I am blessed we have such a great "framily".

Rainy Days

Georgey Poo- Days like these are the ones I wish I could bundle you up and crawl back in bed...lucky for you, you don't know and certainly don't care that it is raining, thundering and lightening outside. As I was getting you ready for school this morning you were all smiles and ready to take on the day. You look so pretty when you smile and those smiles come easier and easier these days. Mommy is trying not to be homicidal that she has to be out working in this weather all day...but at least I get to come home to your sweet face. I'll miss you bunches until then. XOXO

Finally...

Oh my goodness how fast she has grown!!! It seems like she only arrived yesterday and she is already 3 1/2 months old. On a daily basis I am overwhelmed with love for this little girl. We had a rough start with colic but luckily it was a short battle compared to what some parents go through and we are now on the upswing. She is such a happy little spirit and she makes me laugh every time she smiles and especially when she looks at me with that mischievous look on her face. I have been meaning to do this "blogthing" for quite some time but there never seem to be enough hours in the day. She is sleeping soundly in her swing (for now) so I am taking the time to share a little of Georgia Grace with you. I hope you all enjoy her as much as I do and I promise there will be much more to come!!!
